I haven't fifty-fifty finished watching flavour 1 at this moment, but I'm eager to depict this present because it's non what y'all mightiness expect. It's non at all what I expected, too if I had expected what I got, I would own got watched it a long fourth dimension ago.
First of all, forget the title, because Dirk Gently is non a detective show. Yes, at that spot is a grapheme who describes himself every bit too aspires to travel a detective, too yes, at that spot is an chemical constituent of mystery, but it's decidedly not that form of a detective show. Then there's ii cops spoofing criminal offense dramas, a crazy adult woman hanging out amongst a random guy she kidnapped, shady armed forces agents (one of which is hilariously dumb), 4 crazy dudes who larn past times "The Rowdy 3," too a whole lot of super foreign too sinister people (led brilliantly past times Aaron Douglas) too they all run around inwards their ain plot lines every bit the plots lines air current together inwards ways that alone a present of this item build of meta could grip hence humorously.
Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency fills a hole inwards my amusement individual that has been vacant for a while, since Doctor Who decided to travel terrible. H5N1 pure-bred form of sci-fi comedy that cranks upwards the enjoyment levels too is worth geeking out over. At least, I'm pretty sure. I own got ii episodes to larn still, hence I'll permit y'all know when I'm done: Yep, geek away -- this one's a keeper!
